| The Saturday Workshops are conducted by experienced professional artists and tutors in watercolour, oils and acrylics, pastels, pen and ink, gouache, mixed media, drawing and some experimental work. The day usually starts with demonstrations and exercises with a full painting being completed in the afternoon. Students are given individual guidance and attention and all levels of ability are welcome. Those workshops not suitable for beginners are noted in the programme. Photographs are taken of some paintings which are placed in the Newsletter or Art Gallery.
The workshops and classes cover a wide variety of subjects and many students return again and again to cover all of them, but being able to book just one at a time means they can be slotted into a busy schedule as and when students can attend. The atmosphere is friendly and fun! The art classes take place in a large, airy room and the venue has good parking facilities and a small garden where lunch is taken in the summer. A materials list is provided before each workshop and art materials and references are also available for purchase in class on the day.

| The three week mini-courses are mainly in watercolour, pen and ink, drawing and some mixed media and are taught by expert professional artists and tutors. Each course focuses on one subject or technique and all levels of ability are welcome. Those courses not suitable for beginners are noted in the programme. Students bring their own art materials but everything necessary for the course, including references, are available on the day. Each student receives individual attention and guidance as well as class exercises and demonstrations. The atmosphere, as with all Art Events courses, is fun and friendly. Photographs are taken of a few paintings which are shown in the Newsletter or Art Gallery. The three-week slot is highly convenient for many people and many students take all the courses throughout the term to enjoy the variety on offer.
