Painting workshops and art courses for all levels of ability in watercolours, oils and acrylics, pastels, pen and ink, drawing and mixed media. Art Events courses at:- The Woodhatch Centre, Whitebeam Drive, Reigate, RH2 7LS NEWS UPDATE THE SATURDAY WORKSHOP PROGRAMME FOR SEPT - DEC is now on the site. Our WEDNESDAY MINI-COURSE programme is also now on site. Some are fully booked but there are spaces on others. INTRODUCTION TO WATERCOLOUR in Oct and Nov our four-week course for absolute beginners in also on site. Check Courses for Beginners for details. COMING IN THE AUTUMN - a new six week course 'Drawing for the Fearful' with Liz Ashurst at the Reigate Baptist Church. Dates are Wed 2 - 4pm on October 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17 and 24. EXPERIENCED TUTORS The courses and workshops are taken by professional tutors and artists who give individual guidance to all levels of ability as well as class demonstrations and exercises. VARIED PROGRAMME The programme for both Saturday workshops and Wednesday mini-courses covers a wide variety of media and subjects. Many students return time and time again either to try new techniques or improve in their chosen media. BEGINNERS WELCOME Beginners are welcome at some courses. Those not suitable are noted in the programme. BOOKING The courses and workshops can be booked individually and easily slotted into a busy schedule. VENUE The courses and workshops take place in a modern building with full facilities for the disabled, large airy rooms, and there is a small garden where lunch can be taken in the summer. Parking is available right outside the Woodhatch Centre and in the surrounding roads. The Reigate Baptist Church, adjacent to the Woodhatch Centre, where some courses are held, is also a modern building with excellent facilities and ample parking right outside. ART CLASSES FOR CHILDREN We do not run workshops or mini-courses for children (although we do take individual children in some courses that are suitable)but as we are often asked about this, we are now looking out for any that we find. | Art Events at the Woodhatch Centre, Reigate, Surrey organised by Linda Bywaters, provides painting art workshops and classes on Saturdays from 10.30 - 4pm and mini art courses and classes, which run for three weeks on one subject on Wednesdays from 2- 4pm. The art courses are mainly in watercolour but also oils, acrylics, pastels, pen and ink and mixed media and are taken by professional tutors and artists providing expert tuition for a wide variety of subjects including landscapes, seascapes, boats, trees and foliage, skies, water, portraiture, flowers, buildings, plus abstracts and some experimental work. There are also short art courses specifically designed for complete beginners in watercolour. Please go to the Programme page to see the current prospectus. In addition, there are silk painting classes once a month. |
